The Importance of Fibre
Although fibre plays an important role in our diets Irish people
do not eat enough fibre.
At the LifeFibre Co. we strongly believe in the importance of
Fibre in our diets and that is why we have enriched all of our
breads and rolls with Fibre.
Here are a few simple tips to help increase Fibre in your diet:
- Eat 5 portions of fruit every day and remember to eat the
whole fruit - the skin of an apple and the pulp of an orange
contain fibre.
- Don't peel your potatoes - most of the nutrition
is in the skins!
- Eat wholegrain foods such as brown breads,
rice and pasta.
